Rewarding their best people, Comstor exploited the popularity of last year’s Isle of Wight Festival by hiring Rocklands Manor again in 2010.

Taking over a private English manor house for one of the UK’s premier and most popular music festivals had already proved to be a superb solution to accommodating guests in the finest available style on the Isle of Wight.

For the third successive year, Rocklands Manor hosted the party, providing a safe and tranquil base on the south coast of the island away from the hustle and bustle of the festival. Arrangements we made in advance included groceries and beverages in sufficient quantity to cover the overall need for breakfasts, main meals which might be taken ‘at home’, and drinks with meals and at any other time when guests fancied a beer, glass of wine or something stronger.

Minibus transfers were pre-arranged with transport available as and when needed, including late night transfers when guests chose to leave the festival site to ferry transfers at odd times on arrival and departure.

Tickets for the festival were pre-purchased so everyone was guaranteed access to all areas throughout the Thursday to Sunday period of performances on a variety of different stages. Acts enjoyed included Florence and The Machine, Crowded House, Blondie, Spandau Ballet, Pink, Suzi Quatro, Suzanne Vega, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, The Doves and Ocean Colour Scene. Sunday gave guests a special treat with a headlining performance by Paul McCartney.

Plans are well under way to repeat the programme in 2011, building still further its proven popularity with staff, and offering the key advantage of minimum time away from work being a weekend programme within the UK.
