According to the influential German travel journal Merian (September 2003) Riga is “a mixture of the bohemian cosiness of Prague, the cool elegance of Paris and the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Berlin. Riga is the uncrowned capital of the three Baltic countries”. 

Riga is one of the European capital cities that currently experiencing rapid growth as an international meeting destination.  The trendy Art Nouveau city is becoming a top European conference and incentive destinations for the above reasons and more.  Riga is a city which delegates love to return to.  At the moment, the city is still very price-friendly, but it may not remain so as its popularity grows. The years ahead may be the best opportunity to visit one of the most fascinating, multifaceted and multicultural cities in the Baltics.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

  • Arrive at Riga international airport and transfer to the hotel.
  • Check in at the hotel followed by a light dinner.

Day 2

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Old town walking tour followed by a group task in teams. There will then be the opportunity to enjoy some shopping in the city.
  •  Art Nouveau Walking Tour with a stop for tea at the Art Nouveau Area of Riga.
  • Short local tram Ride
  • Riga Central Market tour (another great place for buying gifts) followed by an evening Vodka & Caviar reception on the top of Stalin’s Skyscraper.
  • Creative lunch at DaDa Restaurants (all of your guests get to make it themselves!)
  •  Dinner at fabulous Vincents Restaurant, followed by cocktails at the Skyline bar with birds-eye view of central Riga.

Day 3 

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Trip to Sigulda for Soft Bobsleigh on Ice (2 rides per person; real bobsleigh can be organized on request), countryside sauna + arctic Jacuzzi outdoors (for a winter programme).
  • Lunch in Sigulda, 
  • Limousine transfer with sparkling wine 
  • Dinner at Fabrika Restaurant with breathtaking views of Riga Old town 

 

NOTE: For a summer programme, water relaxation centre & SPA treatments are possible instead of Sauna + arctic Jacuzzi 

Day 4

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Free time
  • Transfer to the airport
